2 Factor Authentication Yealink autoprovisioning

For the Yealink autoprovisioning a new 2 Factor Authentication is developed on the Yealink provisioning server. This new authentication will be triggered when the device is blocked on the RPS server of Yealink. When the device is blocked, a pop-up will appear on the device itself and the user needs to enter the last 5 digest of the serial number. 

 

For which devices is the 2 Factor Authentication activated?

All the Yealink devices which are Interop Certified Plus and configured using the Kwebbl autoprovisioning. 

 

When will be device be blocked?

The device will be blocked in the RPS service when the device sends a new request to the RPS services and the public IP address is different then the first request.  If the public IP address is not changed, the second RPS request won't be affected. 

 

How to unlock the device?

If the device is blocked by the RPS server, a pop-up will appear on the device. Now the user can enter the last 5 digest of the Serial number and press enter. The serial number can be found on the back of the phone. 

 

How does the user know if the device is blocked?
